Activate the ship layer and add a selection border of 1 to it using the same steps
that you used to add the last selection border.
Click on the layer below the ship's layer and then add a new raster layer.
Flood fill the selection border with the silver gradient.
Add a Gaussian blur of 3 to the silver border.
X out the heart and heart outline layers and merge visible.
Your image should now look like this:
Select your magic wand tool
and use these settings:
Click on the heart layer to activate it, and then use the
magic wand to select the light section of the water:
I closed out the boat layer just to make it easier to see what I had selected.
Make two duplicates of the heart layer, with the selection still intact.
Next click on the bottom layer again, so that it's active and add noise:
"Adjust," "Add/Remove noise," "Add noise," 30%, Uniform, Monochrome, "OK."
Then click on the copy (1) layer, to activate it and add noise at 40%, Uniform, Monochrome.
Finally, click on the copy (2) layer, to activate it and add noise at 50%, Uniform, Monochrome.
Now make two duplicate copies of the heart outline layer and move them so
that the layers in your palette repeat, every other one:
heart, heart outline, heart, heart outline, heart, heart outline.
To do this, left click on the layer in your layer palette that you wish to move and
drag it down to where you want it.
Next, "Merge," "Merge Down" so that you now have 3 solid and identical layers.
Now make two duplicate copies of the ship layer and move them so that the layers
in your layer palette repeat, every other one, blue moon, ship, blue moon, ship,
blue moon, ship, and merge down until you only have 3 layers total, each with a
ship on it.
Next, activate your text tool.
Using "AL Charisma," or a font of your choosing, type some words onto your picture,
or use the same ones that I did, with the same silver gradient fill that you used in
the other areas of the image. This time the gradient needs to be in your background
fill properties:
Mine is set at "linear," with a 45 degree angle and 3 repeats (and so it the gradient image
that I furnished you with.)
"Come sail away...", "With me" and my name were all added as separate layers, each
using the drop shadow, duplication and addition of noise that follows:
Position the text between the top of the image and the ship and then, click on "Objects," "Align,"
"Horz. Center in Canvas:"
Convert the text layer to raster:
Right click on the layer in your layer palette, then click on "Convert to Raster."
Add a drop shadow of Vertical 2, Horizontal 2, Opacity 80, Blur 10, color #000000 (black), tick the box so that it is
created on a separate layer.
Duplicate the drop shadow layer and drag one copy so that the layers in your
layer palette repeat, every other one:
drop shadow, moon, drop shadow, moon, drop shadow, moon, and then merge down
to combine the drop shadow with the moon layers.
Duplicate the text layer twice for a total of 3 layers.
Move one of the text layers down to each of the image layers.
Next, click on the top text layer in your layer palette to activate it.
Then, click "Selections," and then click on "Select All."
Next, click "Selections," and then click on "Float."
And next, click "Selection," and then click on "Defloat."
Then click on the bottom copy of the text layer and add noise of 30%, Uniform, Monochrome.
The same noise settings that you used for the water.
With the selection still active, click on the middle text layer on your layer palette
and add noise at 40%, Uniform, Monochrome.
Then, click on the top text layer and add noise of 50%, Uniform, Monochrome.
Next, click on "Selections," and then click on "Deselect." or right click in your image with
your selection or wand tool.
Merge down your text layers to their respective image layers, once again creating 3 solid layers.
Save the image, in .psp tube format, to a location and with a name that you can easily
remember and find.
The file extension must be dot - psp (.psp) in order for it to work in Animation Shop.
To do this, click on "File," and then click on "Save As."
Then click on "Option" in the lower right-hand corner and change the settings to match
the screen shot below:
