Welcome to my Juelle Portfolio

This is the second of my lessons for
Juelle's Web Design. For this lesson I had to
make seamless background tiles. I made three of them.

The color I used for the top background is #72a0b0
and it was taken from the image. I applied an effect
to it using Fantastic Machine's Paint Engine. For the
grainy looking layer, I made duplicate layers of the
faery image and overlapped them to fill a 400x400 square.
I then applied Factory Filter J - Twister effect to it,
using default settings. The gradient background, that is
the bottom, second and fourth backgrounds, was made by creating a
rainbow gradient from the colors in the swatch below. Colors
that I got out of the image itself. The font that I used
is called "Dark Crystal Outline." The fill is the rainbow
gradient set on prismatic and with Twister applied to it.
It is oulined with the green from the swatch at a setting of
0.5 and has 3 drop shadows: a thin black one, a faint yellow
one, and a faint blue one.

These are my background tiles, here:

And these are the initial colors that I selected from my image:

just so I would have a starting base. I used the blue to
create the top, mottled background, the yellow is the color
that I chose to use for drop shadow on the text on this page,
five of the six colors were used in the gradient, and I will
use some of the colors from this swatch to choose my text and
link colors as well.
