This is the third of my lessons for
Juelle's Web Design. For this lesson I had to
create a webset that includes a "welcome"
image, a divider, and buttons.
The color I used for the top background is #d566c8
and it was taken from the image. I applied an effect
to it using Fantastic Machine's Paint Engine. For the mosaic
layer, I selected 3 colors from my image, created
a gradient with them, filled a 200x200 square with
the gradient and applied Factory Filter J -
Twister effect
to it. I then applied PSP's Mosaic-Antique to it
using the default settings. The second layer from
the top is a kaliedescope of the main image and the
fourth is a "twistered" main image. The colors that
I used from the image are below. The font that I used
is called "Accipiter." The fill is the kaleidoscoped
background on the title image, and the lightest purple
from the swatch below, with a very dark blue outline set
at 0.5. The text has 3 drop shadows: one thin one on the
bottom left and two faint ones - one to the bottom left
and another to the top right.
These are my background tiles, here:
And these are the colors that I selected from my image:

I used one of the purples to create the top, mottled background,
three of the seven colors were used in the gradient that became
the mosaic, and I will use some of the colors from these swatches
to choose my text and link colors as well.
