Angels found in the The Book of the Angel Raziel who are to be invoked during the birthing of a child to protect both the newborn and its mother from harm and illness. The book A Dictionary of Angels by Gustav Davidson lists seventy of these angels. However, since four of the names are duplicated in the list, I opted to omit the second mentionings from the list on this page. They were: Malkiel, who was #s 6 and 26; Chaniel, #s 24 and 64; Machnia, #s 38 and 60; and Samchia (Samchiel), #s 52 and 59 of the original list.
