Palmer is ten months new... April 3, 2006 As of today, Palmer is officially walking. The doctor said that Palmer would be walking by the time he was 10 months old, and I'll be danged if the little bugger didn't jump up and do just that! I don't know what it about him doing things when the doctor says he will - but he did the same thing when he decided to be born :). April 7, 2006 Palmer learned to clap his hands today. He finds so much joy in the simplest of things... April 9, 2006 My little angel has decided to start sharing the things that he likes with those he loves - today he offered Big Mama a sip of his bottle, actually he wouldn't take no for an answer *lol* Gosh, I love that boy! April 14, 2006 Big Mama and Poppy played a trick on Palmer today that got him all mixed up: first, they switched seats - they both have their own easy chairs; then they took turns waving at Palmer, Big Mama waved "bye-bye" and Poppy waved "come here;" Palmer just looked at his two hands and waved them both at himself *lol* - he didn't know what else to do :)! April 15, 2006 For days now Palmer has been trying to play with the phone cords, and of course being told "no." Well today, having had enough of my interfering with his plans, he walked me to my room and left me there in attempt to stop me from seeing him. When that didn't work, he tried to stash me behind Poppy's chair, and when that didn't work, he put me in the bathroom. *lol* He's one smart and determined little bugger, that's for sure! Palmer and Poppy have a new game, it's sort of a twist on Peek-a-Boo. Poppy will cover his face with a towel and start calling Palmer's name. When Palmer sees that Poppy's face is covered he can't help but climb up into Poppy's chair and pull the towel off. At one point he got fed up and took the towel to a place where Poppy couldn't get at it anymore :)! Later he did the same thing with a box that Poppy had decided to play the game with... And, Palmer has learned that when Mommy is wearing her red shirt it means she's going to work. He became very clingy today when I put the shirt on... it was enough to break a mother's heart, I tell ya :)... April 17, 2006 Big Mama brought home some empty plastic Easter Eggs for Palmer to play with. He loved them :)... Well, he did it - he took off his diaper. I knew it was going to happen, and I also knew that when it did it would be a poopy one (Murphy's Law and all)... Little Stinker :)! April 18, 2006 I was lying in bed with Palmer trying to get him to go down for a nap. After he finished his bottle he climbed out of bed, picked up a sock (cuz he likes to play with them) and waved "bye-bye" as he headed out of the room. What a boy :)! Oh, and as if I needed more proof that m'boy is a bit wonky - last night he climbed out of bed and slept on the floor...whatever keeps him sleeping...I just put a blanket over him and let him lie there :)... April 19, 2006 There is a one and a half inch gap under the door to mine and Palmer's bedroom. For weeks now he has been using it as a way to peek out into the living room. I had been trying to get a picture of him doing it while we were both in the room, but I think this one is even better: April 20, 2006 Palmer has discovered that doors swing both ways :). When one is ajar, he likes to pull it open, close it, and then, if he can, open it again. Unfortunately for him, though, he doesn't know how to turn a knob yet :)...
