Palmer is four months new today...
He is 25" long, weighs 15 lbs 10 oz,
and has a 16 and 1/2 inch head.

Palmer was too full of energy to sleep tonight, so I danced with him to
bounce some of it out of him. Then I laid him on my torso and tapped out
a two-step on his back and bottom, while listening to a country song on the
radio. He was out like a light. The funny part is that later, when he awoke
and I was holding him while his bottle warmed, he said "Wah Hoo!" I think I
may have ruined him - *lol*

Palmer has started to like laying on his side. Even if I lay him in another
position he will roll himself up. It won't be long before he's able to completely
roll over all the way, all the time, on purpose...
Tonight we danced to hip-hop. I had him seated on my belly and was bouncing him
to the beat - it made him laugh his little head off ~_~...country and hip-hop, what
am I doing to my poor boy? *lol*
September 8, 2005
I tried sitting Plamer up in his walker to play today, and he really liked it -
it seems he's tired of laying down all the time and is ready to start sitting up.
I also found out that rubbing my nose on his belly will make him laugh - I think
I've found a tickle spot ~_~!
September 10, 2005
Palmer is fascinated by the radio.
He was talking to it earlier, I think he's made a new friend...it's his groove machine!
My boy loves to dance, we've been boogying him off to dreamland for a week now...

Palmer was in an especially good mood today.
Big Mama and I took him to the Red Barn Flea Market for an early morning produce run and,
of course, he napped as soon as we got home. When he woke up I put him in Big Mama's
care so Little Mama could take a nap, too. Well, it seems that while I was sleeping
he just had him a wonderful time, just a laughin' and talkin' his little heart out!
He's such a happy little guy - gosh, I love him ~_~!
September 18, 2005
Big Mama has started introducing Palmer to some new friends. He and
Mr. Turtle had a full fifteen minute conversation
(the turtle says "mah nah mah nah"). And, well, he likes Mr. Panda so much that he just
had to give him a hug ~_~...
I propped Palmer up against my legs, while he was sitting on my belly, to read him to sleep.
The longer I read the more he slid his bottom down until he lying entirely flat on his back -
it was just too cute :)!
September 20, 2005
Palmer has initiated a new game of his own.
He really enjoy sitting and standing tall these days.
The play comes in with the standing part. If I hold on to his hands he will use his legs to
push himself up from a sitting postion, drop back down, and come back up, over and over again.
He's having a blast ~_~!
Big Mama tried really hard to keep Palmer awake until I got home from work tonight...
when I walked throught the door she had him proped up in Poppy's chair and was dancing the
Charleston for him :)! I just love what babies bring out in big people...
September 23,2005
Only a baby could stare at a jar of cookies and long for the lid...
September 24,2005
It would appear that Palmer has discovered his tongue - he's been sticking it out
at me for the past 2 days :)!
September 25, 2005
Palmer has started to hold on to things. Today he grabbed and held on to his
rattle for a good thirty seconds.
He even gave it a couple of good shakes and bopped himself in the head with it *lol* -
good thing it's a soft rattle, eh? *lol*
September 27,2005
Big Mama told me, today, that she thinks Palmer's habit of crossing his ankles while
lying on his belly is just the cutest thing she's ever seen. She wants me to check
in on him when he's 20 to see if he's still doing it...
September 28,2005
Aunt Heather was right when she said "every baby needs a set of keys."
The set that she bought for him have become
one of his favorite toys.
September 30, 2005
Palmer has begun reaching out for people and objects.
He will lean towards Big Mama for her to take her from me, and vice versa,
and he reaches for his bottle if you hold it in front of him!
He's even been known to try and hold his own bottle, but it's going
to be a while before he can do that for more than a few seconds at a time.
He's trying though...
October 1, 2005
I've discovered yet another new way to keep Palmer entertained - two new ways actually.
One, I hung his mobile over his day bed low enough
for him to really see it. He really enjoys laying beneath it and watching it spin.
The other is that I've begun laying him over a pillow (or his "Boppy") so that his upper body
is propped up and he has full use of his hands. Then I lay all of his toys out in front of him.
He likes to pick them up, hug them, shake them, and put them in his mouth (of course ~_~).
Two nights ago I saw a thirteen month old baby girl.
Tonight I saw a fourteen month old baby girl. My four month old son is their same size...
I've done born me a tiny giant!
October 2,2005
Today, on Poppy's 51st birthday, Palmer finally got his belly off the ground!
I say "finally" on his behalf - the little guy has been working very hard at it
for the past month...you go boy :)!
October 3, 2005
Well, my baby boy is four months new today and he's growing fast ~_~!
It would appear that his mind has come alive and he's drinking in all that he sees,
hears, and feels. This has truly been a magical month of discovery and learning for my
little one, and Big Mama, Big Papa, Palmer and I are all loving it. Even though I'm sure
I'm going to miss these days, I can't wait to experience the rest of his adventures as he
continues to discover new and different things - about the world and himself...
