Two of Palmer's favorite things to chew on:
New toys this month:
November 3,2005
Today Palmer had three firsts:
One, he drank from a cup;
two, he ate his first food (rice cereal);
three, he crawled about four feet, over to Big Mama's chair,
and pulled himself up to a standing position.
After he did that, Big Mama picked him up and sat him on her lap.
He then proceeded to recline, look up at her, grin, and fall fast asleep -
just that quick...what a guy :)!
November 4,2005
Palmer was pretty quiet for about a week, not much to say, that is.
Then, when he dd start talking again it was with his fingers in his mouth.
Since then he does the majority of his talking with either his fingers or
a toy "plugged in."
November 6,2005
Palmer has cut his first tooth - the bottom right front tooth!
And it looks like the left one will be popping through any day now...
November 8,2005
Palmer made it up a stair today - he got Poppy's slipper for his efforts :).
November 9,2005
Palmer climbed two stairs today - tommorow he should make it up
the three it takes to get from the living room up to the dining room.
We shall see...
November 13,2005
Palmer made it up the third stair! It took some trying, but it's a little
higher than the other two, and it doesn't have any hand holds.
Big Mama bought Palmer a baby doll today, and he just loves it :)!
November 15,2005
I started feeding Palmer with a spoon today.
He wasn't all that crazy about the idea, but I'll keep trying :).
November 13,2005
Palmer fell asleep on Poppy's lap for the first time today.
He also stood up, with some support, of course :).
November 23,2005
Today I took Palmer outside to play in the grass for the first time.
He didn't really know what to make of it and just sat there with "petting"
the grass for a bit. He didn't hate it though, so I'll keep bringing him out...

Thanksgiving Day
Today was Palmer's first Thanksgiving and, well, he didn't have too much
to be thankful for today, in fact, he was pretty miserable - poor guy. Big Mama,
Poppy, and I all took him over to Auntie Heather's for the day. Well, Auntie Heather
owns four miniature dachsunds and two cats, plus has two kids. I think it was all just
a case of sensory overload - but, well, he cried for the entire three hours we were there...
with the exception of the times I carried him outside to try and calm him down, and near the end
when Poppy picked him up...that one did a lot to warm Poppy's heart :) Oh, well,
I guess we do Christmas at home :)...
November 29,2005
Palmer got his first cold today. You wouldn't know it to see him go,
but the runny nose is a dead give away :)...
November 30,2005
Today I saw Palmer chew on his toes for the first time. He's also taken to waving
"bye-bye" to himself - which is actually him mimicking me waving for him to "come here."
It looks pretty funny though, especially when he's laying down and falling asleep :)!
December 1,2005
Palmer fell asleep on Poppy's lap tonight for an hour and 15 minutes!
Poppy loved it, but boy was he stiff :)!
December 2,2005
Palmer is starting to respond to sounds, and his favorite toys are
becoming those that make noise...especially his ((boing)) monster, eeyore rattle,
and an empty nut can that I gave him to play with...
