This past year has been terrific. Palmer gets smarter everyday
and his personality is even better! My favorite part of his
being 2 was the development of his imagination. He likes to
play at being a mail man and a fireman most of all. Though he
also likes to pretend that he's a truck. Of course, he also likes
to pretend that he's driving a truck and he and I have taken many
rides together.
Palmer also loves to build things and paint because being like
Grandpa is cool! And well, Grandpa's little helper is a hard
worker indeed. Some of his other favorite things are chocolate
milk, pizza and cake.
Palmer has a unique way of asking for things: he says, "Don't you
want to?" instead of "I want to." He's also started trying to
persuade folks to do what he wants to do. For example, he says,
"Don't you want to play with me? I'm fun to play with." Which of
course I find absolutely irrisistable :).
This is also the age when Palmer first told me that he loves me...
heart melt. I was standing at the kitchen sink when he came up out
of nowhere, hugged my leg and said, "I love you mommy." A
couple of days later he did the same thing while I was sitting in
my desk chair. He hugged my arm, said, "I love you mommy" and
then said, "Can I give you a hug?" Awww...I smiled for days :)!
So many wonderful things and so many wonderful memories...
my little boy is growing up to be an amazingly special little man :).
