Raise your hands or athame in greeting, and say, “Spirits of the North, Spirits of Earth, You who are stone and rock, bone and crystal, You who are tree and root and branch, You, whose soil is the body of the Goddess And whose grass is in the green of Her hair, Spirit of the Earth, come to me! Spirit of the Wolf, Spirit of the Gnome, I call upon thee. You who rule from the blackest caverns below To the highest mountain tops, Hear me. Bring to these rites your spirit of prosperity, Of stability and manifestation.” Begin turning deosil, focusing a line of Earth energy through your hand or athame. Make one full sweep, saying, “With a ring of stone and bone and crystal, I encircle this sacred space and all within. Let nothing enter unwelcome.” Facing North, draw and invoking pentagram in the air, then say, “Spirits of the Earth, welcome and blessed be!” Turn and face the East. Raise your hands or your athame, and say, “Spirits of the East, Spirits of the Air, You who are mist and vapor and cloud, You who are fresh breeze and wild hurricane, Webweaver at the edge of Dawn Sweeping out stagnation to weave a new day, Come to me. Spirit of the Hawk, Spirit of the Sylph, Hear me. Bring unto these rites purification and clarity, Sweep through and remove stagnation.” Turn deosil as you focus a line of Air energy through your hand or athame, saying, “With a ring of mist and vapor and fog I encircle this sacred space and all within. Let nothing enter unwelcome.” Facing the East, draw an invoking pentagram in the air, and say, “Spirits of the Air, welcome and blessed be!” Turn and face South. Raise your hands or athame into the air and say, “Spirits of the South, Spirits of the Flame and Faery Fire, You who are the crackle of bonfires, You who are the golden sun and flowing lava, You who are the heat of the desert, and the Sparkle of phosphorescence on the shore and In the water, Come to me. Spirit of the Phoenix, Spirit of the Flame Dancers, Hear me. Bring into these rites your spirit of creativity And passion, Your ability to transmute and rise new from The ashes.” While turning deosil, focus a line of Fire energy through your hand or athame, saying, “With a ring of sunlight and lava, I encircle this sacred space and all within. Let nothing enter unwelcome.” Face the South, draw an invoking pentagram, and say, “Spirits of Fire, welcome and blessed be!” Turn and face West. Raise your hands or athame in greeting, and say, “Spirits of the West, Spirits of the Water, You who are the Moon Mother, You who are the Undines of the Rivers And the Sirens of the crashing ocean breakers, You who are the Naiads of the Grottos, Come to me. Spirit of the Shark, Hear me. Bring to these rites your deepest intuition And truest emotions, Teach me to be flexible, to adapt and flow Like your waters.” While turning deosil, focus a line of Water energy through your hand or athame, saying, “With a ring of wave and rain and tears I encircle this sacred space and all within. Let nothing enter unwelcome.” Face the West, draw an invoking pentagram in the air, and say, “Spirits of the Water, welcome and blessed be!” Top of Page Calling the Elements Pick up your wand and hold it aloft, with both arms raised, in each of the four quarters (lowering it as you walk, clockwise, from one to the other), and beginning in the north: Envision a powerful bull arriving, and say, “I cal upon you, Elemental Earth, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I have body and strength, we are Kith and Kin!” In the East, envision devas, faeries or an eagle in flight, and say, “I call upon you, Elemental Air, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I breathe and think, we are Kith and Kin!” In the South, envision a dragon, and say, “I call upon you, Elemental Water, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I consume life to live, we are Kith and Kin!” And, in the West, envision an undine, sea serpent or dolphin, and say, “I call upon you, Elemental Water, to attend this rite and guard this circle, for as I feel and my heart beats, we are Kith and Kin!” Return to the altar and use our wand to draw a the symbol for infinity (a sideways 8), in the air above the altar. This is a symbol both the infinite and of working between the worlds. Set your wand on the altar, pick up you athame and, holding it in both hands, lift it above your head, point up, And say, “Hail to the elementals at the four quarters! Welcome Lady and Lord to this rite! I/We stand between the worlds with love and power all around!” The above envisionings are only suggestions, you may use others of your own, of you’d prefer. Top of Page Creating Elemental Spirits Earth = Gnomes Air = Sylphs Water = Undines Fire = Salamanders 1. Have what you want the elemental to do firmly in mind. 2. You should not create the elemental to affect another person without their permission. 3. Since this is a type of Gray Magick, you must perform a divination to see whether or not he outcome will be positive. 4. As part of the magickal process, the elemental must be given the command to disperse all energy with harm to no one once it has achieved its goal or by a certain date and time. When giving the elemental the date and time for dispersion, it is best to give astronomical dates, such as “On the next day of mars when the Sun is halfway between its highest point and its setting,” rather than Tuesday, October 13th, between 3 and 5 pm. Ritual: Step One: Decide on the purpose and perform your divination. If it is positive, proceed to step two. Step Two: Perform the Opening by Watchtower. Step Three: Imagine that you are the element that you wish to form into an artificial elemental. Hold your hands nine to twelve inches apart, palms facing each other. Now imagine a bottle or box between your hands. Next, as you exhale, visualize all of the element that you are working with going out with your breath and being trapped in the container between your hands. Do this until the container is literally bursting with energy. Step Four: Take your hands away and let the container float in front of you. Pick up the tool associated with the element. Put the tip of the tool against the container and say, “I hereby name thee _______. Go thou and do _______. When you have completed this task, disperse and reunite with (name of element you used) everywhere and harm none on your way. If thou hast not completed thy task by (date and time), then disperse nonetheless and reunite with (element) everywhere and harm none on your way. So mote it be! Be on thy way!” Step five: Perform the Closing by Watchtower Top of Page Consecration Ritual Cast a circle. Then, say: “God and Goddess; Lord and Lady; Father and Mother of all life. Here I do present my personal tool for your approval. From the materials of nature has it been fashioned; Wrought into the form you see now. I would that it henceforth serve me As a tool and weapon in thy service.” Place the tool on the altar and stand, or kneel, for a few moments, with your head bowed, thinking back over the construction of your tool and what you did to personally make it your own. The, dip your fingers in the salted water and sprinkle the tool. Turn it over and sprinkle the other side. Now, pick up the tool and hold it in the smoke of the incense, turning it so all parts get thoroughly censed, and say: “May the Sacred Water and the smoke of the Holy Incense drive out any impurities in this (name of tool), that it be pure and cleansed, ready to serve me and my gods in any way I so desire. So mote it be.” Hold the tool between the palms of your hands and concentrate all of your energies – your “power” – into the tool. Then, say: “I charge this (name of tool), through me, with the wisdom and might of the God and Goddess. May it serve us well, keeping me from harm and acting in their service, in all things. So mote it be.” If you’re consecrating other things, at this time, repeat the above steps with each item. When you’ve finished, close the circle, as follows: Raise your newly consecrated tool (do this for each item) in your right hand, and say: “My thanks to the gods for their attendance. May they ever watch over me, guarding and guiding me in all that I do. Love is the Law, Love is the Bond. So be it.” Keep the consecrated item on your person for twenty-four hours following the consecration. Then, sleep with it under your pillow for three consecutive nights. Top of Page Simple Talisman Charging and Consecrating Ritual A divination should be conducted prior to performing this ritual, in order to determine its outcome. Part One: 1. Set up your altar. 2. Use the moon’s phase to deem it a talisman or an amulet. 3. Place the charm to be in a bag and place it on your altar. 4. Write a word or short phrase to represent the charm. 5. Take a ritual cleansing bath. Part Two: 1. Perform the Relaxation Ritual. 2. Perform the BRH. 3. Perform the LBRP 4. Perform the Middle Pillar Ritual (MPR) Part Three: See Correspondences for any information you may need. 1. Charge the energy flowing through you from the MPR to the color appropriate to the Sephira that most closely corresponds with the purpose of your charm. 2. Pickup the charm and hold it between your hands. Direct the MPR energy down your arms, through your hands, and into the charm. Feel it flow! 3. Say, “Come, oh (vibrate the name of the corresponding Angelic Order), servants to God. Surround, consecrate, and charge this talisman/amulet! (Re-vibrate the name of the Angelic Order.)” Then say, “Oh (vibrate the name of the corresponding Archangel), help thy humble servant and consecrate and charge this talisman! (Re-vibrate the Archangel’s name.)” And then say, “I invoke the power of (vibrate the corresponding God name or names)! Charge and consecrate this talisman/amulet for thy name’s sake! (Re-vibrate the God name.)” 4. With the predetermined word or phrase, say, out loud, the purpose of the charm. 5. Hold the charm flat in your left hand. Pick up your Rainbow Wand by the band of color that corresponds to the planet with which you are working (this would be the planet that rules the zodiac sign associated with your charm’s purpose). Holding the wand by the appropriate band, make an Invoking Pentagram of Earth, vertically, over the charm. You’ll find the wand is parallel to the Earth (horizontal). The black end should always be slightly lower, never higher, than the white end. 6. Now, inhale and thrust the black end of the wand into the center of the pentagram while you exhale and vibrate the selected God name. 7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 in proportion to the number that corresponds to the Sephira you are working with, i.e. if you are working with Sephira number ten, you would repeat steps 5 and 6 ten times. 8.
