Folk Magick to Strengthen Love
During a new moon, tie two cinnamon sticks together with
purple thread while chanting,
“(Name) and I are together as one,
our love will shine as bright as the sun,
and as the moon grows the magick is done!”
Wrap the cinnamon sticks in a piece of black leather and
hand-sew it with white thread to seal it up. As you sew,
repeat the chant. Place the pouch where it won’t be found
or disturbed.

Salted Fire Spell
Sit in front of a fire, go into alpha, and hold salt in your left hand.
Allow for your feelings for the one that you love to go into the salt.
Just as salt is sprinkled onto food to flavor it, visualize your love
being flavored by the salt in your hand. Then, toss the salt into the
flame, saying,
“It is not this fire I wish to salt,
But the heart of the one I love.
If it is good for both of us,
May both of our hearts burst with true love for each other.
So mote it be.”

Sovereignty Stone Spell
To stop criticizing your lover’s flaws
and see the beauty within them.
Go on a quest for a pocket-sized “sovereignty stone” –
a stone with a beautiful half and an ugly half, to
place in a special place.
Honor the stone is some special way. Bless it with the
four elements, after you get it home. Grant it the right
to be just the way it is – half ugly and half beautiful.
The Goddess tumbled this stone for centuries making it just
the way it is. It is perfect, in her sight, so state, firmly,
that it is also perfect in your sight. See the stone as whole,
just as you’re trying to see your lover as whole. Grant the
stone sovereignty. Say,
“Stone of the Earth,
I give you the right to be just what you are.”
The more you try saying this, and sound sincere, the sillier you
will sound, because you know the stone will be what it is with or
without your permission.
Now, let the stone represent your lover, and assign what you perceive
as their “negative” qualities to the ugly side, and spend an equal amount
of time attributing your lover’s positive qualities to the beautiful side.
Then, picture the stone as your lover and, say,
“You are the love of my life
I give you the right to be just what you are.”
This time you shouldn’t sound silly. However, you may not sound absolutely
sincere! If not, work on it. The stone will help you. Keep the stone,
turning it over every 12 hours, morning and night, to allow it to be both
beautiful and ugly. Or carry it in your pocket and pull it out every now
and then to see whether the ugly or beautiful side meets your eye first.
Seek the stone’s help to become absolutely sincere – not in liking your
lover’s flaws, but in accepting that they have them.
You will know the spell has worked when:
1) You no longer criticize your lover’s flaws or
2) You check the stone one day, and it’s so beautiful
on both sides that you can barely stand to look at it.

Spell to Feel Loved
We are all in need of love, on occasion. To tap into the flowing current
of universal love, place a few rose quartz crystals in cold water in your
bath for as long as possible. The longer they soak, the stronger the effect.
Fill a pink bottle with the water and place it in direct sunlight. Again,
leave it as long as possible, without exposing it to darkness or moonlight.
When you feel that it is ready, light a few red, pink, or white candles, and
run a bath, sprinkling in a pinch of salt as you visualize the water glowing
white. Now vivify the water with 7 drops of rose oil. Finally, add the bottled
water, and watch as it spreads bright pink light through the bath. As you get
in, feel the color and warmth spreading through every inch of you body. Relax
and enjoy…

Stirring Spell
Whenever you stir something on the stove or in a mixing bowl,
use a wooden spoon. Draw a pentacle in the food and stir it 9
times, saying:
“The blessing of the mother,
the strength of the father,
imbue this food with love and grace
to all who in good faith partake.”
After the final stir, add:
“So mote it be.”

Stone Circle Spell
|
Gather:
An earthenware dish
7 small stones from 7 different
places that are special to you
7 candles, one of each of:
black, white, purple, green, brown, red, and silver
7 earthenware candlestick holders
A chalice of spring water
On a Friday, during a waxing moon, cast a circle and cleanse the
above items by holding each in you hand and reciting:
“Clear, clear, clear you be
Of other intentions save those held by me.”
Take up the chalice of spring water, face east, and say,
“Aisling, Aisling, Aisling,
Bring to this chalice of water pure
The dream talents for a heart so sure.
To one who wishes to drink in your ways
Is the seeker of Love’s most powerful rays.”
Take 3 sips of the water, envisioning the Aisling pouring her powers
into you through the drink. Dip your finger into the water, and place
a drop on your heart and a drop on your third eye. Place the chalice
back on the altar, between you and the other objects.
Put soil into the bowl and pat the surface smooth. Pick up each stone
individually in your cupped hands and breathe on it to awaken its inner
spirit and say,
“Small friend, power so old,
Form the ring forged in gold.
Within your circle whisper to me.
Bring my love to me.
Say to me that my love will come.
Summon together with love’s magick fire,
The one who should kindle my heart with desire."
After charging each stone, place it firmly in the soil, making a counterclockwise
ring. Set the dish on an altar or in a window facing east. Place the candles around
the dish, in this order: Black in the N, purple, red, white, green, silver, and then
brown. Remove the black candle from its holder and, while holding it, say,
“Light the path and draw my love to me. Bring my love now with fire in their heart.”
Return the candle to its holder and repeat this with each of the others, in turn.
Then, take up the chalice and water the stone circle, clockwise, making this promise:
“I shall water you, awaken you, and let you grow.
I shall nurture you, honor you, and let you sing.
You shall work your magick and your seeds sow.
You shall unite the world and to me my love bring.”
Spend a few moments being one with the stone circle, allowing your magick to mingle.
Open the circle with a strong word of gratitude to the Aisling. At the new and full
moons water stone garden repeating the above chant.
